Working with couples in counselling

Working with couples can be tricky. A Counselling needs to be experienced at working with couples. As a counsellor I need to work with both parties, helping them to communicate directly with each othe.

So often, each person wants to put their side, often blaming the other and not saying that they somehow have played a part. My work is to take neither side but at the same time bring into awareness the part Each of them play in the current situation.

Lots of couples do want to work through the issues and come to an agreed resolution. However, sometimes this is just not possible and the work could turn out to be how to help them to separate in an amicable way.

If you are experiencing difficulties in a relationship and you want to try and work it out, please contact me on (07843) 813537.
